It seems to me from memory that you should be OK from that position I came here alot years ago when in London, as a matter of course but from my last recent visit I think visibility is OK where you are, you are right website indistinct about some seating and when I booked rigoletto recently had a similar problem I checked with theatre the old fashioned way by phone. But that was a bit of a job too.
Is it possible to meet a dancer/singer after the performance? Thanks

Not really unless you have a personal connection. They have homes to go to afterwards. You might be lucky and catch someone at the stage door as they leave!

Hi - our son is an opera singer and we have attended over a dozen performances this year in Europe -- including at the English National Opera (ENO). We are attending our son's debut at the Royal Opera House this season as the tenor lead in La Boheme. Our son always told us that we could essentailly wear whatever we liked -- from dressy to casual. If you would like to dress up for the opera, there will be many others who do the same, espeially at the Royal Opera -- but if you want to be more casual, there will also be many who join you in casual dress. Unless it is a matinee, I usually dress up, and my husband usually wears a suit with tie -- or slacks and a jacket w/o tie. Whatever you decide -- Enjoy!!
While the amphitheatre bar is under renovation should I assume it won’t really be feasible to manage interval drinks, or are there alternatives where you can pre-order? We have amphitheatre seats and not the end of the world if it’s going to be too far to go to one of the other bars, but I also use a crutch so not very fast to get up/down stairs
