The Aymara or Aimara (Aymara: aymara, listen ⓘ), people are an indigenous people in the Andes and Altiplano regions of South America. Approximately 2.3 million Aymara live in northwest Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, and Peru.

2019年3月16日 · The Aymara people are Native American (First Nations) culture living in the Andes mountains around the borders of where present-day Peru, Chile, and Bolivia meet. The Aymara are considered one of the oldest extant ethnic groups of the High Andes, predating the Inca civilization a little over a thousand years.

The Aymara people originated in the Aymara domains (1200 -1400 Christian Era) that began to appear following the downfall of Tiwanaku (1000-1100 CE). We can trace them even further back, however, to the Wari culture (500-1000 CE) who spoke a proto-aymara.

The Aymara have a mythological, humanized and spiritual view of their environment, making it a key component in their world view and ideology, which seeks to define their place in nature and their responsibility towards it in everyday life.
