Annandale's Rat, or Singapore Rat, mainly inhabits secondary forest, including former rubber or coconut palm plantations. It seldom occurs in intact, lowland, primary forest. At night this rat can be seen foraging amongst fallen branches, low scrub and low branches of saplings.
