2006年4月4日 · I think the commotion about Caylus fits the definition of "hype". For some reason I think some people feel that hype has a negative connotation. I don't. I think Caylus lives up to the hype. It had a high ranking, I really wanted to play it, I think the high ranking is appropriate. IT'S A GOOD GAME!!!

2009年4月3日 · I have played Caylus a few times with 1 set of friends and we always were fighting to get as many King's Favours as possible. Recently I played with a different group of friends and they were all obsessed with getting gold. I got blown out of the water.

The general theme and mechanics of Caylus Magna Carta are similar to the Caylus board game. However, there is no board or score track and the tactical nuts and bolts of the game are somewhat different. In terms of components, the game consists of cards, money, worker pawns, resource markers, the provost, and castle building stones.

2021年5月12日 · Caylus 1303 is a rare example of a re-imagining getting it right. Most of what it strips out from the original is not missed and the end result is a more playable game, imo. Of course not everyone will agree but when you remove any ingredient from a busy salad that is to be expected - some people like the spring onion, or the artichoke hearts ...

2006年10月27日 · Two player Caylus work exactly the opposite way. The key is to remember that denying your opponent a point (in two player) is the same as giving yourself one. That damned provost will become particularly important (as will money) since it's ALWAYS worth it in a two player game to screw your opponent over in a 2p game. 6.

2011年4月26日 · Do not worry about ruining the game with spoilers. Caylus is too deep to suffer from a problem like that. It is like chess, which has countless books written about it with no detrimental effect (in fact, strategy discussion has a positive effect).
