In time for the new television season in 2007, ABC rolled out a new identity package with a new tagline and a new interpretation of its logo. The new slogan, "Start Here" (used until 2010), was presented at the upfronts in May and in trailers/promos for that season.

In the new graphics package, the ABC logo would always appear in 3D as a shiny black disc.

Visuals: The ABC logo, now cel-shaded and colored with an amber shine (a la the 2nd logo), zooms out while the shine rotates around. As it zooms out, the background is briefly colored gold before the light retracts to the sides off-screen, leaving an glow around the logo as the shines move to their final position.

Visuals: The logo opens with a blue ABC logo, rendered in wireframe and followed by several trailing copies of itself. This is followed by stills of various ABC shows and stars scrolling by using a parallax effect, first on the bottom of the screen, then the right side, the top, and the left side.

ABC approached graphic designer Paul Barnes to redesign the classic Paul Rand logo. He designed a logo which was never used.
