The Angsi Glacier or Nangser Glacier (Tibetan: ངང་སེར་འཁྱགས་རོམ, Wylie: ngang ser 'khyags rom, THL: ngang ser khyak rom) is a glacier located on the northern side of the Himalayas in the Purang County in China's Tibet Autonomous Region. [1] . It is immediately to the east of the Indus-Tsangpo water divide at the eastern edge of the Purang County.

The upper reaches of the Brahmaputra River, known as the Yarlung Tsangpo from the Tibetan language, originates on the Angsi Glacier, near Mount Kailash, located on the northern side of the Himalayas in Burang County of Tibet.

Originating from the Angsi Glacier in western Tibet, southeast of Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar, it later forms the South Tibet Valley and Yarlung Tsangpo Grand Canyon before passing into the state of Arunachal Pradesh in India. Downstream from Arunachal Pradesh, the river becomes far wider and is called the Siang.

The source of the Yarlung Tsangpo is Angsi Glacier at an elevation of 5,210 meters (17,090 feet) in western Tibet, southeast of Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar, Phuntsogling is a monastery in western Tibet near the source. The Yarling Tsangpo’s longest tributary is the Nyang River.

अंगसी हिमानी (Angsi Glacier) हिमालय क्षेत्र में तिब्बत के न्गारी विभाग के पुरंग ज़िले में स्थित एक हिमानी (ग्लेशियर) है। अध्ययन से पता चला है कि इस हिमानी का यरलुंग त्संगपो नदी का मूल स्रोत होने की काफ़ी सम्भावना है। यही यरलुंग त्संगपो नदी आगे चलकर ब्रह्मपुत्र नदी बन जाती है, यानि अंगसी हिमानी ब्रह्मपुत्र का भी मूल स्रोत हो सकती है। [1][2]
