The general theme and mechanics of Caylus Magna Carta are similar to the Caylus board game. However, there is no board or score track and the tactical nuts and bolts of the game are somewhat different. It is like chess, which has countless books written about it with no detrimental effect (in fact, strategy discussion has a positive effect). Who Would Enjoy Caylus? Gamer Gamers: Well obviously being an older worker placement game, Caylus lacks the glitz and glamor of custom meeples but makes up for in design.
