2012年6月22日 · My fix for it was to just use the LR44 battery and to recalibrate the meter. The battery is smaller then the original battery and I found two ways to solve this problem. The first was to go to the hardward store and buy a rubber o-ring and just inserted the battery with o-ring into the compartment.

2020年12月24日 · The camera came with no batteries, so I tried using an LR44 battery that was sitting inside my Pentax K1000. The LR44 seemed to work fine, in that it activated the meter, but keep in mind that the LR44 is rated at 1.5 voltage while the Spotmatic F was meant to run on an PX625 Mercury battery rated at 1.35 voltage.

2018年2月4日 · Edit: just Googled the XA2 battery and it takes LR44 which is what I bought a pack of last week. Perfect. Problem solved.:) The Canon can go. I might swap it for a broken couple of cameras if possible, to use as ornaments as I love the look of it. I would like a nice broken Rollei 35SE and maybe a Canon AE where I could use the lens elsewhere.
