No Sound; Windows Shows That Everything is OK but the PC is Mute
Mar 15, 2021 · They are connected to the headphone jack. Windows shows that everything is okay yet there is no sound. The troubleshooter detected no problems. The volume mixer shows that there is audio but there isn't. The speakers kept making a crackling sound every few seconds so I unplugged them and plugged them back in and they keep doing it.

Aug 20, 2018 · If I leave it on Intel Display Audio, I can see the audio but I hear nothing. This all worked find yesterday, but I added a second display and now the sound doesn't work. Removed second display, sound still doesn't work. Tried removing and reinstalling audio driver. No difference. Tried rebooting several times, no difference.
