Peewee Falls at Boundary Dam Campground in Washington is a hidden gem and is one of the best waterfalls in Eastern Washington state.

Peewee Falls, towering at 233 feet, is the tallest freestanding waterfall in Northeast Washington, cascading into the Pend Oreille River’s Z-Canyon. This area, transformed by the construction of the Boundary Dam, features breathtaking cliffs and additional waterfalls.

Pewee Falls is located on the Pend Orielle River south of Boundary Dam, and 1/2 of a mile from Canada. I might say something about the river. There is very little sensation of the river moving down stream. But if you set out in the morning the pool is full.

Located on the Newport-Sullivan Lake Ranger District, this new overlook provides spectacular views of Peewee Falls and Boundary Lake. A 9-mile trail from this location to Riverside Mine Scenic Overlook will be complete in 2024. From Metaline Falls, continue north on WA-31 North/Lehigh Avenue for 11.5 miles.

Pewee Falls drops an impressive 200 feet right into the river in front of you. In the afternoon, when the pool is low, a circular mound of rocks create a plunglepool. Off to the NE of the falls, is a very small beach to photograph Pewee from.

Pee Wee Falls were amazing. It's a short kayak trip, maybe 15 minutes from the launch. Afterwards we checked out the cave tour at nearby Crawford State Park about 10 min away. You will need a reservation for that 45 min tour, and take a sweater as it's 39 degrees in the cave.

Periwee Falls plunges into Boundary Lake in the very northeast corner of the state. When the lake is at full pool level, the falls drop 233 feet directly into the lake.
